PUSH!

LUKE 8:43-44 And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years,[a] but no one could heal her.44 She came up behind him and touched the edge of his cloak, and immediately her bleeding stopped. (NIV)

This woman did not allow her circumstances to stop her from getting to Jesus. She heard that Jesus was coming and she pressed her way through - she PUSHED through the multitude - the crowd. She did care about what others may say or think of her. She had one thing on her mind and that was to get to Jesus. She had a mind to PUSH!. This woman had an issue and she was determined to get to Jesus. This woman was alone -she couldn't go out in the public and no one could touch her or hug her -she was tired, worn out and intensely lonely. She had been sick for twelve years - living in quarantine - she had spent her last on doctors and in fact she was only getting worse according Mark 5:25-26. She was an outcast - practicing Social Distancing according the the law (Lev. 15:25-27). When she heard about Jesus she had a plan and that plan was to PUSH her way to Jesus - she just wanted to touch his cloak. This woman had great faith and determination - hope that if she could just PUSH HER WAY THROUGH THE CROWD - JUST TOUCH HIM that she would be healed. We all have had some kind of ISSUE or you many be having ISSUES right now - you could be in need of a healing - PHYSICAL, EMOTIONAL or SPIRITUAL. Today I encourage you to PUSH your way through - REACH OUT to Jesus. I encourage you to not allow anyone in the crowd stop you. Step out, look to Jesus, PUSH your way through - move toward Jesus in faith; trusting that HE is able to heal and restore you. Today I encourage you to be like this woman - who did not give up hope - who PUSHED through the crowd (fear, pain, doubt, sickness - whatever your ISSUE may be - PUSH. Jesus is waiting. He is just a touch away. PUSH!
