The Book of Genesis

mom_edited.jpg

God instituted the family in Genesis 2:18 when He said, "It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him." He then formed Eve from a rib of Adam as told in verses 21-23; part of which says; "This is now bone of my bone, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.

God commanded them to be "fruitful and multiply; and fill the earth and subdue it; and rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over every living thing that moves on the earth" (Genesis 1:28). In bringing Adam and Eve together - God established "FAMILY".

"Love is paint, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 1 Corinthians 13:4-5

LOVE

Webster's dictionary provides the world's idea of love. It says that love is "strong affection for another rising out of kinship or personal ties." It also defines love as "affection based on admiration, benevolence, or common interest."

BIBLICAL LOVE

Christian love is not a feeling of emotional attraction or affection. On the contrary, Biblical love is what you do, not what you feel. According to the Scriptures, Christian "agape" love toward both God and man is expressed by how you act toward each other. For more information go to the link titled "Bible Studies".
