The Awesome Ant

"Go to the ant, thou sluggard, consider her ways, and be wise" Proverbs 6.6. While ants are very small and we really don't consider them to be of no importance to us. Many times just believing that they are a nuisance - especially when they invade our homes. We can learn much from them and the Bible instructs us to do so in Proverbs. These six legged insects are known for their Herculean strength. Some ants can pull objects 50 times their body weight.

What can we learn from the ANT?

They work constantly - not lazy. They do not put off task - note "it provides meat (food) in the summer; and gather food in the harvest."

They care for one another - always working as a team.

They are self-motivated - Ants exemplify what if means to be self motivated - they make no excuse - they are disciplined and self-starters.

They look ahead - Ants are excellent planners, they have precision and wonderful organizational skills.

They are hard working - they only rest as much as needed.

Together the ants work - and together they enjoy the labor of their work. Ants know that they can accomplish more by working together than by working alone - they set goals and work together to achieve them.

Ants Invest - they are wise enough to know that a time is coming that may be difficult so they prepare in advance.

Ants show us that we should labor diligently and work hard. They make use of every moment that they have. Oh what can we learn from the Ant? MUCH!
